World Youth Skills Day offers us an opportunity to highlight the need for young people to develop skills to go on to pursue meaningful careers that contribute to a prosperous society. This year, we’re celebrating World Youth Skills Day by looking at how TWO FRIARGATE is helping Coventry’s next generation to develop new skills.
Coventry is one of the youngest cities in the UK, with a growing number of young people opting to move or stay in the city to take advantage of the growing array of opportunities available to them. The city already boasts two world-renowned universities, a resurgent culture scene, and an increasing pool of rewarding jobs, and TWO FRIARGATE is building on this by helping to up-skill local young people.
This World Youth Skills Day takes place as Coventry builds on its recovery from the global coronavirus pandemic. Young people in Coventry have been significantly impacted by the pandemic, but the local economy is in a strong position as it continues on its journey to rebound from this turbulent period more resilient than ever.
TWO FRIARGATE has already created valuable jobs and apprenticeships to deliver and support its construction, and a considerable number of these have been taken by young people. Many of these young people working on TWO FRIARGATE are quickly progressing in their careers, contributing to a growing pool of talented young people who are now equipped to take Coventry further in its next chapter.
TWO FRIARGATE not only offers young people a valuable opportunity to develop new skills today, but also promises to form the backdrop for the careers of young people in the near future. The building will boast innovative Grade A office space, which will nurture a productive, happy and inspired workforce.
TWO FRIARGATE is delivering for the next generation and, once completed in early 2023, promises to help enhance the skills of young people tomorrow.
