Coventry’s standard bearer for high-quality, city centre office space, TWO FRIARGATE, has recently celebrated its official launch. The building is already home to SEGRO and Octopus Energy, with the latter investing in five floors of the brand-new space. TWO FRIARGATE hosted twenty-one commercial property agents from across the West Midlands to showcase its exceptional features.
Attendees were treated to a tour of TWO FRIARGATE, as well as the neighbouring, ONE FRIARGATE, as part of the networking event. This included a look at three of Octopus Energy’s floors – already finished with a custom fit-out, highlighting the brand’s distinct colour palette and ethos.

Utilising everything from open and collaborative workspaces to private meeting areas and casual breakout sections, Octopus has made a statement, and given back to its team, by flawlessly building on TWO FRIARGATE’S innate quality and flexibility.
Agents in attendance were also able to see floors displaying both Cat A and shell and core fit-outs – the foundations of any outstanding office space.
“I was incredibly impressed by the quality of the space at TWO FRIARGATE,” Douglas Bonham, Director at Colliers International, began. “Not only can you see the extent that Octopus has been able to make their offices their own, but it’s clear everything has been constructed in line with a superb specification.”

Across from the office building at Hotel Indigo, Adam Hunt, Coventry City Council’s Strategic Lead – Property and Development, the head of the TWO FRIARGATE project, also gave an overview of the council’s plans. This was underlined by the future of the Friargate development as a whole, the repurposing of the former IKEA building, and the City Centre South scheme. The latter, an exciting investment project, will see improvements in older areas of the city centre for modern residential, retail and hospitality opportunities.
“The agents launch at TWO FRIARGATE has been a resounding success,” Adam said. “We’re proud to have seen an excellent turnout for the event and that the hard work of those involved in the development of TWO FRIARGATE and Coventry has been appreciated and commended. We look forward to filling the building’s final six floors and the future of business within the city.”

Hotel Indigo’s stylish restaurant, Cogs Bar and Kitchen, one of many fine working lunch spots within the city, served as an excellent networking space to finish the event. With an incredibly central location, those based at TWO FRIARGATE can benefit from offices surrounded by a host of amenities, thriving local business links and immediate proximity to Coventry Railway Station.
As the building has been developed directly by Coventry City Council, this fantastic setting is supported by additional council resources for exceptional accessibility. Beyond the seamless public transport network, those driving to the offices can benefit from further nearby parking, flexible to the needs of particular occupiers.

“The team behind TWO FRIARGATE has sourced a location with substantial appeal,” Mark Robinson, Principal at Avison Young, stated. “With excellent accessibility and links to Coventry University, a wide talent pool of all levels will be attracted to working life here.”
Six consecutive floors are still available at TWO FRIARGATE. Businesses interested in the newly launched office space should contact the agents now to avoid future disappointment.
“We’ve already successfully agreed some significant lettings, which has resulted in extremely positive feedback and satisfaction from our occupiers,” Scott Rutherford, Partner at Cushman & Wakefield – the office agency representing TWO FRIARGATE, said when asked about the building’s immediate popularity. “We’d be delighted to engage with all kinds of businesses to understand how TWO FRIARGATE’s exceptional standards can meet their needs.”
